This blog is another avenue in which to stay connected with my blondies...Sage and Reagan back in Texas. It is an absolute honor to be their mom and I strive to keep my family as intertwined as possible. I hope they enjoy reading about the happenings in Missouri as much as I enjoy reading about their lives.

Sunday
I have enjoyed the kids immensely today. In light of the issues concerning Don's boys....I am so very grateful to have such good kids. I am so blessed.
We went to church this morning and then this afternoon Reese went sledding with some of his friends. He had a blast.
Bridgette and I went to wal-mart and then came home and took a nap. Pretty lazy Sunday.
I spoke with Sage and Reagan a little bit ago...I had to tell all my babies, "good night".

Taneycomo Fishing Trip 2010
I think having a cold was the lesser of the two evils, as the temperature outside on a few of the days we were there was freezing...and I would've been miserable.
We had a fish fry out at Peterson's barn when we got back to Sullivan. Talk about some good eatin'!
I just finished editing my blogger book for 2009. Boy, that was a job...but it was neat to go back and review last year's happenings. And from now on, I'm making a concerted effort to blog on a regular basis...as it makes for great history.
I'm also watching the Cowboy playoff game and they are kicking butt! Wouldn't it be neat if they won the super bowl...hehehe.

Today, I made two pecan pies and a couple of loaves of bread. I've been eating like I'm a skinny girl. I started feeling guilty, so I did some yoga to clear my conscience. I also worked on Reese's quilt for quite some time. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel and hope to finish it soon.
The kids slept late...Don left for the farm and then the upcoming MAPA convention next week...and the puppies and I worked around the house a little bit. They sure are sweet. The puppies that is. And so are Don and the kids, I guess!
This afternoon the kids went to the movies and saw Avatar in 3-D. They loved it. The kids are so much fun and so helpful. They went and got me some Dr. Peppers and a Sunday paper so I could get a headstart on clipping coupons. I'm totally ate up with it, too. It seems the more money I have, the more frugal Iam. I am SO going to be a Ma someday.
Speaking of Ma...I want to remember a conversation we had when I was in Texas spending a couple of days with her. It went like this:
"Amanda, are you scared?"
"No, Ma...why?"
"Well, your hair is sticking straight up."
(I was wearing my hair up like I usually do.)
"It's windy outside, Ma...it'll be fine." Giggle, giggle...

Another great quote from Miss Bridgette:
"There's butt hole people in the world, and there's nice people in the world...and sometimes you just gotta be the butt hole people."
Well said, my dear.

Happy New Year!
We're in Branson at lake Taneycomo. The guys have been fishing while I spent the first couple of days in bed sick. Now that I'm better....I got up this morning and went shopping. It's a great time to go, as most people are still in bed nursing their hangover. Since I'm a fuddy duddy and can't stay up that late and drink...I was feeling pretty good this morning.
The sun is shining and the temperature is in the twenties, so looks like I'll be fishing today.
I miss my babies tremendously. Can't wait to see them.
