Fireworks

Donnie, Reese, Skeeter, and I went to the HWY D bridge here in Sullivan to watch the city's fireworks display. It was impressive. Bridgette was at a friend's house watching fireworks.
This being Skeeter's first Fourth of July, he was a little jumpy at times. Overall though, we all enjoyed it.

Reese

We were so glad Reese was back from camp. He seemed to have had a great time, and as always, he took a gabillion pictures.
The preacher's wife, Charlotte, (she's also a high school science teacher) called late last night to tell me how much they enjoyed Reese. She said he really clicked with everyone in the group and they enjoyed his enthusiasm and humor.
That made me smile.

Getting There

Lots of festivities today. Don and Greg drove the mustang down and we went to a re-grand opening celebration for a business downtown and had a hamburger. The hotel has been busy all day...it looks like we're going to be booked. I'm finishing adding up time cards to send to payroll, then I'm going home where Donnie is grilling steaks for supper. I'll pick up Bridgette and Cheyenne on the way. Reese is still 2 hours out.
I'm trying to get everything ready to travel to Texas on Sunday. I'm taking my laptop with me and I can log onto our security system remotely. It has sixteen cameras with audio and everything. Soooo, sitting in Texas I can see and hear what's going on at the hotel.
This could be fun.

This 'n That

Reese called this morning to let me know he was on his way home from camp. I'm looking forward to seeing him. I haven't seen much of Bridgette lately either, as she's been at Cheyenne's house for the past few days. I spoke with Sage this morning, as she and I both were on our way to work. That just leaves Miss Reagan...and I'll give her a call shortly.
Last night, Don and I met Chuck and Rhonda at Sybill's. It was nice to do some catching up with them, and also nice to get away from the hotel for awhile. There's so much going on right now...the ribbon cutting is coming up....we're hosting 'Business After Hours' for the chamber of commerce....Fourth of July Festivities...class reunions...and the list goes on. I'm still having fun...I'm just ready to see the rest of my babies!

A Toast for All

After a long day of work, Matt, me, a Days Inn Executive, and our I.T. man decided to break out a bottle of wine and a few glasses from the gift shop to make a toast.
We considered it our duty to sample the product.
